PhotoWipe is an innovative image-editing application for Windows. I am not a professional photographer, but I can understand where the need for this application comes from. Many times, when I snap a shot, I think I just got a Pulitzer snapshot. But, then, I find an old couple on the background of my picture, or a fence, or something like that. I can't take the picture again. So I need to get rid of what ruined it in the first place. PhotoWipe does just that. It allows you to select the parts of an image that you want to get rid of, and it will simply erase it. On the website, there are a couple of examples. If you need to take care of a fence, simply brush over it, and process the image. Those bars will go away. However, the whole process will leave a mark. The bars will be gone, but the image will show a blur where they were. Some times, I would rather stay with the fence rather than have those ugly-looking blurs in my snapshot. PhotoWipe, in my opinion, is great, but for other type of uses. Like getting rid of little defects or watermarks; and definitely not getting rid of your last girlfriend on every single one of your pictures. The latest version of PhotoWipe is 1.1, which was released 3 days after 1.0. However, this review deals with version 1.0.
